I've been trying to convince some pals we should drive down for this....
-
Hahaha funny you should say that... Two are 195/50's and two are 195/45's.... I'm wondering if I should refurb them hyper silver and only use them during the summer months, which also means putting some sticky tyres on them too for track days next year....
-
Was such a simple process, they don't even ask for your money for any of it until they have asessed it. Once it's fixed, you get a lifetime warranty for it.

Just got home from picking up the Corrado Speedlines that I won for £92, got 2 Yoko tyres on and 2 "events", i'm guessing it means that driving with them on it'll be eventful.... Anyway, these wheels are absolutely spotless. Not one curb mark. Happy days. Cant wait to get them on, wanna find some spacers first though....

So had a bit of a moment last week and decided I was going to sell the VR.... Ended up getting a payrise at work and a few other things have all fallen into place.... So now I can keep it..... Yay.... Battery is dead. Booooo. So I won some Corrado Speedlines on eBay last night...lol. I've now ordered a new battery for the VR too. Need to get the ABS controller back on too, had it refurbed by BBA Reman, took a week, cost about £200 including collection, delivery and refurb work. I have also put a quick release steering wheel hub on, so I need to relocate the horn button to somewhere on the dash

Mate that would be awesome if I could get one off you. Happy to grab it this Saturday if you're about? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
So as you can see fro the picture... I seem to have lost the little cap that goes on top of the brake fluid reservoir.... Two questions.... 1 - How important is it? 2 - Where can i find a replacement? Thanks all.

I'm up for it. Would like to talk to Stealth about some cams etc as well as seeing what my VR runs now with my exhaust :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nope, that situation was resolved about a week later lol. although, i'm probably as low as yoou guys now, i have to raise it a bit as i am literally scraping on everything at the moment and it's driving me a bit mad lol. I'd say runcorn is a bit too far north for us Southerners. How about TX Autosport or AMD Essex?
-
nice!!! i've got to get some 16's once i've gone turbo and got bigger brakes lol.

New steering wheel from OMP.
-
Haha id definitely be interested in rolling mine again now i have my exhaust fitted.
-
Haha cheers bro, I hope it pushes me past 180. Going to keep power mods to a minimum until the winter when i want to go Turbo!!

So, after failing the MOT miserably on the exhaust, I spent a while looking around for something, something that reminded me of the Remus I had on my Astra VXR 'burg... Then i see how expensive a Remus is for a Golf VR6 (upwards of £450), I decided to look elsewhere. I then came across this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201078696583?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I wasn't sure about it but I YouTube'd it and found a couple of videos and thought that for under £200 I'll give it a go. Sent the link to a pal and asked his opinion, he said I needed a decat for it c

See that's where you went wrong, you should have used Shell V Power Nitro +, then you would have got more!!!! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If that was the result of the difference between a schrick and standard, they'd cost about £10,000,000 each!!!! Was a good day, good to meet you guys and experience your problems before i make similar mods LOL.
-
No worries at all mate, was good to meet some VR owners as it's not often you come across some lol.
