  1. Ive raked through three photobucket accounts and cant find pics of the VR manifold I done. Heres another one I done though Original still fitted to the engine in place with the cover on better picture of the original halfway through the main body with a fair bit of smoothing and deleting finished Polishing is all about time and having the patience. The longer your on it the better the finish usually. That and decent equipment is key, access to air tools or at least elecric based orbital sanders is a great help and speeds up the process. Alu belgom is a good restoring polish if there is sl
  2. not sure really, when I pull them off and swap the tyres over im going to give them a refurb. My brothers been looking to go to 17's on his vento so they may go there or on my mums fabia vrs.Depends how they come up really
  3. theres quite a few how to's and owners projects on the caddy owners forum about how to fit a vr in a mk1 pick up,there are ways around cutting into the chassis legs to fit a vr in a mk1 shell
  4. picked up some new wheels to replace the 17's last night
  5. my brothers had 3 vr6s all with varying mileages from his first at 80k to his second at 125k and down to his latest on 56k and there was little to choose between them engine wise.My Corrado has 135k but drives sweet as a nut.Just going through the pile of history I got with it just now but I would go from my initial drive as the mk3 VR I looked at the week before I got my corrado was an absolute hound,105k mulberry highline with concept leather, chronic gearbox, ghetto waterpump that would run for 10minutes everytime it was switched off. Less miles is no guarantee of soundness. Take a chance and
  6. Barring a strip down and full repaint its not really in that great a condition though... Had a look underneath it today and it all checked out,the exhaust is cobbled together standard stuff and a scorpion rear box.The suspension is indeed Koni's and I fixed the heatshield thats been flapping about and annoying me but couldnt do anything about the blowing exhaust just now
  7. basically titled as per as Ive only really bought the corrado for the engine, plan is to run it until the mot is out then fit it in my mk1 coupe but happy to have a play with the car in the mean time as it was(bra is currently removed as im not a fan) the important bit current wheels arent the worst but on the replace list always liked corrado rear seats and the fronts are still holding there shape well for 135k exactly as I inherited it basically, allegedly has koni adjustables and an attempt at an exhaust which ill be having a look at as soon as I can get it up in the air
