The tyres your recommend would they be normal fit or will they be stretched? Arches should be rolled in a week or 2 but i want to avoid having the arches pulled as im not sure if 9" on the rear is too wide. Flush im thinking.
Right i think i get that. Has anyone fitted these o similar to their VW and let me know all of the bits i need to buy. Anyone recommend anywhere near Leicester to get the work done to my arches?
I dont mean to sound dumb but I havent got a clue about these things. What does the 15 and 20mm mean??? and what about bolts and locking nuts - any special requirements? Has anyone else fitted Porsche 9's on the back and if so what mods are required if any? I have just contacted FK to become a distributor so hopefully will get the adapters cheap. 8-)

Hello, Can anyone help me or point me in the direction of a step by step guide on how to remove - clean - replace the TB on OBD 2??? I have my carb cleaner just need instructions :-d
Nat - Its the water temp. The VR has gone in today to be checked for an air block although im getting hot air in the car, a new thermostat, water pump check and to check for any blockages so fingers crossed...
Where do I start?! Left work early to go to ECP to pick up the pipe that I ordered however when I got there they ordered the wrong part. They eventually tracked down the part I need after I had to show them on an exploded parts diagram then they tried to charge £70+vat!!! It’s only £62+vat from VW! What a bunch of incompetent *****! Anyway after a bit of searching last night I found a VR6 breaking on edition 38 and they had the part I needed. £15 for a Gruven Y pipe… bargain! So I went and collected it from Peterborough last night and fitted it. However… drove to work this morning and
I spoke to Sanburn in Cov on the Saturday and they quoted £15+vat plus £10 for delivery! Just spoke to Euro Car Parts and they do an original part for £22+vat. Will be here this afternoon - fingers crossed it's the right part. Bit concerned as VW quoted £62+vat as the plastic section is not available on its own you have to buy the pipes with it!
Morning all, On my way home from work on Friday the VR started to overheat and i noticed a water leak on the plastic section of pipe from the top of the radiator to the engine and has a small pipe coming off going to the expansion tank. It's only a crack but is leaking water. When i bought the car it some pink sealer or something on their but i have noticed this has dissapeared now. Will this cause my VR to overheat????
Thanks for the info will get myself to VW this weekend. Does anyone know if a broken breather will have caused my VR to start missing? It's going in for a full service tomorrow and also having the fuel pump changed so hopefully it will stop missing.
People, I need help please. I believe my crankshaft oil breather has broken and i need to get a new one. I have read past posts and noticed people refer to a Ford equivalent with the following Ford part no. 7364573. I have just spoken to Ford and they do not recognise the part number. Can anyone help?
I'm going for one of these... http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=10897&xSec=129 Thanks - it's at the top of my list at the moment - any other suggestions and any reasons why i shouldn't go for the K&N? I take it the heat shield works well and doesn't require any additional holes to be made to secure it?
People please help. After reading 9 pages I still don't know which filter to go for. 5 years ago i had a '92 VR6 to which i added a K&N induction kit and it sounded awesome but gets a lot of bad press... not sure why! I have just purchased a '97 Highline completely stock and i just want to change the filter to give me better response and lots of roar. I have a budget of £120 but would really like to stick to £100 if poss... suggestions please.
