    different fuses window motors tend to stop working or cables brake so might not be switch possibly bulb for the full beam and mayube fuses for the other do the tail lights work ok reverse light switch on top of gearbox check all fuses and bulbs 1st

    i have one on mine that was made from a mix of mk3 and a mk4 swallow neck but i still had to cut a couple of little grooves in the bumper i post a pick up when i find my camera cable

    MY 16's are genuine VW option with correct offset for VR6 and i dont have any problems using tt calipers and carriers

    you should be able to google how to reset the service thing or get someone with VAG-COM to switch it off but if your having it serviced the garage should do it for nowt

    independant vw specialist like The PHIRM but they are a bit of a way from you vw dealers will charge a fortune is your dash flashing that it needs a service

    if its been serviced regularly as you say then it should go on past 180,000 easy enough without the need for a rebuild how often does it make the whine noise ?
