    Definately I got the car for a bargain price and it came with a book written in german and englash of the tests that were carried out and 3 different sets of suspension that were applied as well as neuspeed braces fitted all underneath the car. They settled on Koni dropped and stiffed. The only thing is the ride is pretty awful lol. But if I want to take corners fast I cannot knock it. The last vr had koni adjustables on it but were only dampness adjustable not height. If I slightly jack front wheel the whole car lifts along that side. My wife says its too low and too hard not practical

    My last VR6 was a bit nose heavy in the corners but this one is balanced really well I love they way she handles.

    I would have to dis agree with most golfs are poor in corners ............ My Mk11 was fantastic on 3 wheels and the way the VR6 has been set up by VW specialists its like a go-cart ........

    Saw this on top gear Clarkson reconed it wasnt "VW just havent finished it yet" As it didnt corner well he said brakes and suspension needed work. But it is a 200mph golf so who gives a f**k about anything else lol

    Wire brush on me drill to get all corrosion and worst parts off, then 60, 80, 120grit on Black and Decker Mouse. And the secret weapon Heat resistant chrome effect spray paint, I was gonna keep polishing but then I had visions of how long it took me last time. ;( So I just gave up and cheated lol looks well though.

    An in 02 service reminder code can be reset by a few guys on here pending who is closest to ya. As far as a service I have no idea on the cost as my wife makes me do my own she says I spend enough money on that thing.

    Had a few friends lose their beloved vr's due to job loss I only hope you find something soon chap as there is nothing wors. Been there myself and its not nice. Just keep looking thats all you can do it will come.

    The bay spoke to the bloke on the phone he is adoment its off a vr I even sent him this pics but still he says its vr. I could send him part numbers as proof but just want my money back as it useless to me.

    Well my new starter motor arrived today ......... Got home all excited about getting the car up and running again ....... spent half an hour under her removing the old one only to set it down next to the new on and realize mine was twice the size. Gutted to say the least.
