hi, im new to the forum and have just bought a golf vr6 1996. The car has done 120k, has some service history. These cars are know for there torque and power but this one is very slugish feels like a 1.4. from 0-60 its quite slower then most other vr6's but after 80 it dies and struggles to get to 100. When you put your foot down after about 70 in f5th or even 4th gear there is no power and after ages it will get to bout 100. mileage is quite high but i woudnt expect it too loose so much power during its life. got a few mates with vr6 and there will easily go to 140ish without any stuggle. is
