    i cant seem to find any leaks anywhere, when the car is parked up you cant see any coolant leaking or any coolant on the floor, only when driving it looses coolant.

    the car is loosing water more quickly now, I filled up the expasion bottle to full and started the car. There was no bubles or water shooting out. The water was very slowly being pushed out of the expansion bottle. There was not that much smoke comming from the exhaust, was a little but could have been due to the cold waether. i have taken some pics, the oil cap got some mayo on it but this may have been because the car was stood for a few days and started from cold. When i drive it a few miles the mayo clears up any ideas if it is the head gasket or not? car drives fine pulls hard and no over

    hi my car was loosing water and yesterday the eater pipe which comes from inside the car and connects to the head has a big split in it and water is leaking out fast. on the bulkhead there are 2 pipes its the one furthest away from the driverside. anyone know were i can get one from? or anyone have one for sale? thanks

    hi my vr6 has 120k on the clock and has started to loose water, everyday the bottle keeps going down. If i leave it for a week it will go near empty. No over heating no high temp. temp is mostly at 94-98 when fully warm and i have been driving it hard. on short journeys i get the mayo on the oil lid but on long journeys and when driving it hard it does not have any mayo. the oil is cheap stuff which the garage i got it serviced from put in. is the head gasket gone, what other signs can tell if its gone, dont have any wter puddle on floor overnight. thanks

    is quntium semi syntetic the right oil to use and is that what vw supply. is there any place i can get it from cheaper than main dealer? thanks

    hi thanks guys for all your help, got a maf from ip in excellent condition almost new, problem solved. Picks up speed much quicker and pulls strong. Thanks

    everytime i drive from cold for a short journey it leaves the mayo type stuff on the oil cap lid, does not use oil or water. water does not have oil in it either. When you drive it hard for longer journeys there is no mayo. how can i tell if the head gasket is gone, there aint no over heating either? thanks

    hi, The water temptarure light on my vr6 started flashing yesterday. I started the car from cold and drove away, as i pulled out of the road a car was approaching fast from behind so i had to put my foot down. The engine was cold, straight away the water temp light ( red light most left of the cluster with a swiggly line and stick going down it) started flashing. It kept flashing so i stopped at the end of the road and turned the car off, when i started it again the light stopped flashing. the temp gauage was showing half as usual. car was running fine.     thanks, will the breather pipe come complete with the unit air intake pipe which mounts to maf- air filter? also ive seen maf for £52 on gsf will they deduct money if u give them ur old one? thanks

    thanks for the help i got it checked on vagcom, the guy at the garage checked it with a laptop and said the MAF sensor is gone. he was saying to his collegaue code AAA or something like that. he didndt get me a printout or anything. and was quoted £270 for the MAF sensor. now im not too sure if he was just trying to sell me the MAF or if that really was the probelm. So im going to try source a cheaper sone second hand or something. anyone got one for sale? Also today i fitted an air filter and the pipe which goes to the head got split so need a new one of those too. anyone know were i can get

    I have had the car serviced. Changed oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, HT leads and coolant. still the car is sluggish, when you floor it in each gear it picks up speed but when driving normally there is no power/tourque, being a 2.8 it is very under powered. if you put it in 5th at about 40-50mph it will struggle to get to 100
