    Why do my front foglights and side inducators both which are aftermarket goodies, steam up and leave water and condensation inside them after a jet wash clean or heavy raining? Also this has happened to both of my aftermarket aerials short aluminium ones at the same hand wash place they go in black and come up in a browny bronze colour? Strange i am lost for words myself? any help guys?

    To be honest the car is getting booked in to a garage to get the above all checked out. Once when i harshly braked the car i felt a grinding noise that was it not sure about a stuck caliber. also the front wheels are they ment to bang on straight or should they be slightly slanting inwards?

    My vr6 is not driving properly, when on a open road, driving in a straight line, i let go of the steering wheel and the steering wheel keeps turning to the left (passenger side). When i mean turnig to the left more like pulling to the left. Also there is a grinding sort of noise coming from the front and also a noise that sounds like two metals rubbing together. Had the tracking done when i got my new tyres fitted but the chap said the tracking is set to the best he can get it seted. Any ideas ??? I was thinking on the lines of wheel bearings, track rods, cv joints, ball joints, wishbones and

    My passenger side complete failure now, sourced from ebay mk3 gti window regulator and motor getting it fitted on monday.

    My abs light randomly comes on and off on my vr, any ideas why? On the dashboard - orange colour.

    Hi what is the best way of fitting a front splitter? Example does it need any extra glueing, screwing etc? Or does it all just clip in to place? Cheers.

    Hi I have decided to lower my vr6, I plan on leaving the standard wheels on at the moment, the six spoke original bbs alloys, obviously once I refurbished them. Also for the time being I am goner lower it with just lowering springs only. Any advice on how low i should go and what springs to use. Cheers.

    Yeah mine was on the passenger side but after a couple of times going up and down, it went okay. I will try again and see what happens

    Yeah mate, my cousin was on about that place he said they pretty good and are vw specialists. If you can find out for me that will be great, hopefully they do the timing chains. I don't remember the dash flashing the letters i will have a look 2moro and get back to you. Thank you for everything so far. I watched that video, my timing chains dont sound like that.

    Just checking my vr6 service history book, which has been fully stamped by VW up to 85639. My next service is due 95639, and my car at the moment is just over 96000. The service due now is is goner be a major or minor service, my main concern is the cambelt or timing chains? Also where is the best place to take it for the service work to be carried out for a reasonable price? Ideally near bedfordshire area. Thank you.

    Hi Just bought my vr highline recently, fiddling with a few bit and bobs. I on the wipers, but i cant seem to off them now? Basically if i start my vr now, the wipers go up and down, and i cant turn them off Any help please ! Cheers

    Hi All I am looking to see a mk3 vr6 highline r reg this weekend hopefully, i just need some pointers to what to look out for when i go and see the car. Just bullet point help advice is fine thank you. Also how much is a 1997 r reg golf vr6 higline worth? It is 3dr, full service history, mot, tax hpi clear, 2 owners and 96,000 on the clock, but only 1 key? Cheers people

    Hi Everyone i am new on here, i am looking to buy a mk3 golf vr6 hopefully within this month (september), just trying to do my homework on these cars. Quick question do ALL mk3 golf vr6 have the same engine noise. You no the roar it makes when everybody turns to see what car that was. Thank you.
