Could be seals in the oil cooler have gone or the crack pipe has cracked or its running down off the thermostat housing.

How much! Didn't have the bag in mine, can they be brought new from the stealers? Always fancied a carbon fiber cover.

I've always used Fuchs XTR Semi Synthetic 10W40. Always thought fully synthetic was a big no-no on high milers or hot engines.

That could be it then, Uber loud though, is that normal? Can only slightly hear it when the bonnet is shut and I don't notice it when i'm in the car.

As far as I know the only diffrence is 2 hoses in the kit that the Golf does not use. Make sure they are UK spec. I stand corrected. The top rad hose is slightly diffrent. I'f you are looking at the cheap blue set i'm lookin at then the picture looks strange. Where's the hose that should be connected to the electric pump thats not there? lol.

Is there a coolent pump in the trottle body? Mine hums realy loudly when the ignition is switched on. Its not the coolent pump as thats unplugged. I'm trying to work out if my electric pump has died or the relay. Can I just connect the electric pump up to the battery to see if it runs or will this realy kill it? Gotta get this car back together before work tomorrow. (SN)
