  1. Amazing' date=' I can barely run 16's on mine [/quote'] I managed to run the coils right on the deck with a set of 15" audi a3 pepperpots on it. Was way too low for the roads i drive though. Theres been quite alot of arch work doe though which might be the reason it all works for me lol.
  2. Cheers Mate. Eh on the coils its down about 3/4's of the threads so about 80-90mm Av tried it lower before but causes too many rubbing issues.
  3. There 18x8.5J Thought was going to have problems as my last ones were only 8j but worked out perfect
  4. Not been on here in a while but thought would post up few pics of how the car is these days. Ended up going for some new wheels, set of BBS CH's Looking to put a standard grill back on it at front. Here goes anyways: Scott.
  5. Ordered from dubpower today so should have it fitted soon
  6. Im looking to get one of the 70c ones as well so any help would be appreciated. Need to order it asap as my temperature is going crazy as the stats no longer working.
  7. Well its finnally all finished after the last few weeks of getting the conversion done. The 8v just didnt quite hack it and the opertunity for the vr came up and i took it.Keeping all the extras frm the colour concept along with the engine. Heres a few pics of during the conversion and then nearer the bottom is it finished and given a clean. Enjoy. Engine coming out Donor VR: 8v no more Dash out to do the loom. VR settling in with new mounts all round: After some work once i had it running.Whole engine got list of nice new fresh parts seen it was easily accesable and i polished up the in
  8. Aye got them mate, ended up was nothing to do with the wiring but have all the diagrams i could ask for now along with alot of other vr6 info now.All pretty handy, Anyways cars running so no longer needed.
  9. Iv just ordered 2 new ones with my new crack pipe from dealer.Only like £1.50 max each I shall be picking them up in the morning and shall be able to tell you after that mate.
  10. Car looks mint with those wheels mate Nice one
  11. yeh guess so,wont crack at all. Just ordered the part straight from the dealers there. Not that expensive and should have it wednesday morning so shall be back going again soon. I had a feeling it would break though as i had to fix the pipe on fitting the engine but obviously when the cars used for a longer drive the pressure just built up and the weak bit of the system broke. When it happened i knew exactly what it was so wasnt as worried. Lol your going to no doubt laugh when i say....after doing everything it ended up the fuel lines were back to front,on my gti they come to the front the oth
  12. Cheers folks. Do you reckon the aftermarket part is far superior? Phoned up the dealers and its only £15 plus vat But some more shiney engine parts wouldny go a miss lol
  13. Cheers for that rapid response Much appreciated.Shall get one ordered in the morning, couldnt beleve it,first night out and it goes. Will be back on the road soon enough.
  14. Hey, the main cooling pipe running along the front of my engine broke tonight and poured all my water out.Looking to see if anyone knows the part number of it as iv had to leave my car at a mates and it would save stripping the front end off right now. Would allow me to order a new one tomorow. Its the main plastic cooling pipe at the front of the block which has an outlet on it and has the clips on it to hold cabling. Heres a pic:
  15. I know that there is definitly no imobiliser in the ecu but the gti did have a factory immobiliser but has been removed. Any more thoughts?
  16. Hey, still not managed to get my vr running properly yet. Iv managed to minimise the problem down to its fueling though. When the car is cranked over to turn it will initially spray fuel from the injectors but then after that it does not spray anymore but it will continue to spark so its down to fueling. I dont think its an immobiliser issue as my vr is 92 with no inbuilt imobiliser in the ecu Fuel has pressure at the rail and the fuel pump is working. Anyone any ideas?
  17. Hey, think iv sussed my problem done to fueling problem.I havent changed the vr fuel pump into my gti 8v car do you reckon this will be causing a problem. Under hard revs it will give enough to keep the engine running but low revs it seems to have lack of fuel. Pretty much, will a mrk3 2.0 8v fuel pump feed a vr6 properly/enough?
  18. Yeh mate i know what you mean here and iv already posted up my problem but at the end of the day it doesnt get any replys so im asking in general who has an obd1 as im looking for pictures or a check of something specific.
  19. Looking to find anyone that has an obd1 vr6. Dizzy model with no immobiliser in the ecu. Likely to be very first ones eg "k" plates 92,93,94 Looking for some help from someone who has one but will PM info regarding help needed. Cheers scott
  20. You looking for brand new ones yeh? Think iv got one of the pipes, well iv got two but its for a gti so the one that goes tot he pump would interfere with the oil filter. Were bought wrongly,or i should say advertised wrongly.
  21. Stunning golf you have mate. Really liking the seatbelts going with that interior.Might have to find myself some.
  22. Haynes dont do a vr6 manual im sure :S i may be wrong but i thought that. Had a look through your conversion pics mate.Good idea with the wii=ring photos, wish i had done that. Have you got it in yet?
  23. Hey, Wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that would have a wiring diagram of the actuall wiring loom which comes through the bulk head. Does premium membership downloads have it? A bentley manual? All the wiring diagrams i find dont actually tell me what each wire is as it comes through before going into the fusebox. I can get the fusebox wiring but theres no point in that as my wires are not in the box that i need to know therefor knowing where they are in the box is useless. Scott
