    Can't wait for this! Deffo the best show of the season despite what all the haters say about it. I think it was ten times better last year than previous years simply by having on site camping!     BIG NEWS!! The car is now working and the problem is solved It turned out that the c2 chip had worked its way loose off my ecu, because whoever fitted it fitted it upside down! so over time going over speed bumps etc its worked its way loose with gravity pulling it down. I bought a new ecu and everything lol. Had a grin from ear to ear when we got it started before cylinder 1 was tapping when i started it but my mate said its because its been stood for 2 months so put oil in before we started it but it did tap anyway so took the rocker cover off and poured abit of oil directly onto it and i

    Can anyone tell me for definate.... I need an ecu and want to know if i just need to buy an ecu and thats it, there is one on ebay that comes with key, tronsponder box and something else.. is all that necassery?

    CAnt really make sense of what you have write dude, are you asking if you need to do anything before you turn the key? Or asking about the leak, or both? Whats the reasons for not starting it for 6 months?

    Rang the guys at c2 motorsport this morning, explained my situation and they said that they can put my chip onto another ecu for 38 quid! cant moan at that at all, so gotta get a new ecu, ((if anyone has one that works (obd2) let me know) then send my ecu and the new ecu off to them, ill let you know when i get it done and if it works

    Love inters, best show of the year i think! Big improvement last year with the camping, had a really good time and im sure it will be even better this year, Gotta get down that strip this year, last year my car decided to blow the engine and i had to get recovered home, bad times

    Just been speaking to gazbarber for an hour installing my vagcom, cannot thank him enough! true brainiac with vagcom and i appriciate the effort he made to help me get it working

    There are cheap ecu's on ebay, im watching a couple now just keep your eyes peeled, depends on how quick you want your car back on the road. Hope you get it sorted soon mate, i know exactly what your going through

    Going to ring c2 tomorrow and see what they suggest, good idea that though matty and thats probably what will happen, my mates just rang me he has just opened up the ecu and said the chip had come away by about half a mil, pushed it back down so going to try it again just incase but i cant see it working myself but worth a try. My ecu has been upside down on the car so im thinking ive gone over a bump and its slowly wigled loose with it hanging upside down

    ECU mate, mines been broken down for a couple of weeks exactly the same problem, got power to the coilpack but no spark, changed sensors and nothing, put my mates ecu on my car and it started. Reason why i think its deffo ecu is due to the vag com. i tried vagcom, snap on, and another diagnostics tool and all said error and couldnt connect, obviously due to the ecu being knackered

    Jim you dont know how close i was to just throwing the thing at the wall and ringing the scrap man to take it away before lol. Now that ive chillaxed abit.... my mate has taken mine with him to open it up and see if any of the solder has worn away or any obvious signs of wear. So do i need to get a standard vr6 ecu then send it away to c2 to get one of their chips fitted to it, how does it work im not clued up on the engine management side of FI

    Just tried my mates ecu on my car, and the car started but run crap.... its my ecu Ive been told its got c2 motorsport software running the car. How much is it going to cost me to get this sorted?

    thats when i go into options to test the comm port, comm3 gives that as a pop up. I now know why this will not work. My ecu is knackered! thats why my car isnt starting, absolutly gutted. Also tryed plugging in a friends diagnostics tool which wouldnt pick up the car, a snap on diagnostics which would not pick up the car and this vagcom i have got which would not pick up the car.
