    Just tried my mates crank sensor on my car and had no joy! tested my crank sensor with the multimeter and it has power. Also tested the plug that goes onto the ecu and that has plenty of power with ignition on. Really getting worried about this now and im running out of ideas. Anyone got a clue? my ecu is a c2 motorsport ecu so i hope that hasnt gone been told there over a grand Should the fuel pump stop when the ignition is turned to start????

    Just in the car trying to get it to work, where you can test if its obd2 compatable i tried that and it says its not obd2 compatable, i can plug it in, select comm 3 and get interface found, port ok, type: serial pass-Through, opto/iso:NO ross-tech design:NO It just wont find any codes etc!

    Just checked its 32 bit mine. And that is spot on /\ same as mine got it as administrator now, going to try this tomorrow morning on the car now hope it works! fingers crossed

    what a guy! Just what i need, as for your last post, i clicked on the desktop icon and there is nothing there that says run as administrator, is it in properties when u click it?

    Just tested the coilpack on my mates car and it works! Am i right in saying that its now either this sensor or my ecu? ( the sensor is being done over the weekend)

    Should i do this using the 409 version(which came with the lead) or the vcds version (newer)

    ahhh right i see, nice one matty, well mates took mine round to someone to try it on his car it is no longer attached to my car lol, i recon now with you saying that, if the coil pack does work on his car its gotta be that sensor right!? good times!

    Im confused lol and i think you are too lol, Ive ruled out the relay for the time being as it worked in another vr6, and its stopped the clicking, it isnt the immobilizer because the injectors are squirting the fuel in and they dont when the immobilizer is on. Tested the plug that plugs onto the coilpack and that has a good power output, tested a plug in a ht lead and there is no spark

    That sensor isnt affecting the car not starting , got no spark :s

    RIght, Got an update.... tested the plug that plugs into the coilpack and it has a current going through it, but im getting no spark .... is it the coilpack?

    nope, ive had one plugged in before though a snap on one and that worked fine

    deffo, and thinking about it, im sure ive seen the wiring diagram for a vr6 on here somewhere cant seem to find the thing now, typical eh!

    Not sure if its finding my car or not, im getting the message from comm3 port when i try connect through that which says port ok, interface found or something like that, then i try and scan it and it does loads of scanning but doesnt find anything then i try and scan say airbag for instance and it says it cannot do it due to (then something along the lines of its not picking a signal up)

    guys im still stuggling to get this to work ive tried running it as windows xp on vista, tried both software new and old, furthest i can get is it says port ok, interface, found! then save it and try to scan it but it doesnt work

    Ive got it off ebay, but i can get a number to ring if needs be, hope i can sort it myself though, think ive figuered it out now, but watch this space lol! cheers for the help lads

    ill try with the 908 if it still doesnt work ill get the beta 10 thing and try that. ive just tryed in a usb port not connected to my car and tried comms1-comms4 and when i click on the 3rd comm it says port ok, interface (cant remember the word but it was basically saying no or its bad etc) im guessing that its because it isnt connected to a car ?

    Does sound electrical, got vag com here but i just cannot set it up :@ Got a spare coilpack need to try it but its weird how its happened all of a sudden, would the vagcom pick up a faulty coilpack, had a look at mine thats on now but it looks fine
