  1. Craig, I don't know if this might be of use... My fuel reg set up. Its a real pain having the fuel rail connection at the opposite end of the fuel line. I used braided hose and Earls connections for extra safety as the fuel line is crossing the engine bay.
  2. About 2 months ago I noticed a small amount of oil leaking from the far right (as you look at engine) side of the rocker gasket. When I had my inlet manifold changed 2 weeks ago I also had the rocker gasket done as well. I thought that would stop the leak; however it is still leaking. Took the VR back to the garage earlier; Just got the car back; my mechanic informs me that the actual rocker is the problem, he informs me that the leak is on the right side still and possibly also somewhere at the back as there is also oil there too. I am miffed as to why the rocker is at fault. I can un

  5. Had the same problem, who can I trust to de-solder the existing ECU chip? I went down the independent TV repair shop route as they have stacks of experience dealing with circuit boards. They de - solded the standard chip and replaced it with a cradle so I can plug and play with whatever chip I want; cost me £25.

  7. Hope everybody has a good show. I can't make it due to my inlet manifold still being off the car. I was hoping to have completed the dressing up of it before the show :-( I will definitely be at Inters.

  9. I found it a headache when I fitted mine. *-) Hose One (Reducer Hose): The ID of the end which connects to the throttle body needs to be 83mm. The end that connects to the MAF needs to have an ID of 76mm. Hose Two: (this could be a reducer as well; depends on CDM outlet hole's OD) The connector hose from the MAF to the CDM filter housing; the MAF end needs to have an ID of 76mm, the other ends ID will be the over all diameter (OD) of the out let hole on the CDM filter housing. Hope this helps. ^o)
  10. 83mm ID Throttle body, 76mm ID MAF.
  11. I'm thinking of buying a set of Audi TT, 6 spoke alloy wheels; 205/40/17 offset 32. Will they fit straight on or will they require spacers? I'm also unsure of the offset difference as I belive VR's offset is 35 - 42. I would be grateful if somebody could clarify if they will fit straight on or not. Thanks

  16. Just fitted an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (above are intake on pic). After some fine adjustments finally set it to 4.6 bar on an obd1 engine. I can instantly notice there are no more flat spots on acceleration. As for fuel consumption, I will post details once I have run a full tank.
  17. Thanks russj249, I guessed it might be, but not being mechanically minded I wanted to be sure before pulling hoses!!!!
  18. Can you help? I want to fit a Pipercross Crankcase Breather, however I am unsure which hose is the Crankcase Breather hose. Below is a shot of my engine bay; would somebody mind if they point out where the hose is located. Thanks
  19. My step daughter spoke with her dad earlier. After coming off the phone she started laughing; I enquired "what so funny?" She tells me that her step sister (7 yrs old) had got a Wii for Christmas. Obviously the Wii was set up so the happy and excited child could use it. The first game played on it was bowling, however it ended in tears; Unfortunetly the supervising adults forgot to secure the safety arm band on the child; she takes aim and simulates her first attempt....... ............ It's a strike ............. the new 40" plasma tv gets it right in the screen She didn't realis
