    This was my first meet with the club; thank you to everybody for making me feel very welcome; I had a great time. Its been awhile since I've drank so much beer and ate so many burgers!!! I am flattered and surprised that my VR was voted the best original, it won't be next year! After seeing some cracking VR's this weekend, I am inspired to fettle mine slightly 8-| Thanks again everybody, look forward Edition 38.

    I'm hoping to fit my small(ish) fold up one. Blondie never seems to travel without her portable gas one. Martin's car is allowed to transport dusty greasy bbqs so no doubt he'll have one and not to forget cabrioman who is very happy with his calypso inspired diy masterpiece so will be showing it off again.     I guess when showers are forecast it means the weather people don't really have a clue what its going to do. If it rains "I told you so"; if its sunny "I told you so"!!! :-p Who cares what the weather is; it will be all us that make it a sunny weekend. (

    Attended Sunday with my VR parked on the Derby/Notts pitch. I expected the event to be bigger, saying that it was good; quarter mile run was entertaining as was the dub-masters competition. Some nice looking cars on show. Found the VR owners pitch and introduced myself to a fellow member who was having a nightmare fitting some new indicators (hope you sorted fella). Would attend again if the admission price is reduced.

    Yes it was I've lost the eye brows, some divine force from above also didn't like them, they blew off somewhere along the A1!! As for lowering her; I'm in two minds (I will discuss and look at other VR's at the Billing Aquadrome meet)

    Hi Guys, I recently went along to my local VW owners club meet. To my surprise, when I visited their website earlier today I discovered my VR has been chosen as "Car of the Month" :-p Car of the month! Here's to the Golf VR6

    I know this might be a dumb question to the mechanically minded: Can a full set of lowering springs (50mm front and 45mm rear) be fitted to a Golf VR6's stock suspension? If so, will there be any issues to the handling ETC?
