    Cheers guys. silly but I had a blown fuse 43 I think which was the engine control module. Changed that and all lights have gone snd car runs as it should.

    The car is standard. the codes are: MAF low signal lambda sensor b2 s2 short to ground secondary air injection valve short to ground. secondary air pump short to ground evap purge valve short to ground I have changed the maf snd evap for a working one but no difference. I then disconnected the battery and cleaned the throttle body. Now the car runs perfectly but still has all these codes and all the lights on the dash. Any help would be great thank you

    Hi. The car is an early 4 motion (single coil) It seems to miss fire at idle? Chucks in loads of fuel and tries to cut out, but as soon as you raise the revs or actually drive it it drives lovely but if you come to a junction it will try to die again. Any ideas Please. Vag com is showing multiple codes from maf to lamda and some other valves as well. Thanks for any suggestions

    Are coilovers and shovks at the rear the same as a normal mk4? I know they are separate spring and shock but the shock goes towards the rear of the car. Thanks

    i am really keen to do this. i have sourced the 2 gearboxes but had a few questions before i commit to them. 1. can you still hit 60 in 2nd gear? 2. is it still nice on the motorway? 3. has any one got any how to's or pics? thanks

    ok see your point but it wont smoke after that first blip and i get none at any other points of acceleration even if i really open it up, could it not be worn guides letting the oil in on overrun the that first blip blows it out the exhaust cos it wont do it again after that??

    piston rings would smoke on acceleration tho, and its only when hot so if any think it would be bore ovalisation not rings. found a quote on here somewhere will dig it out, if you coast for about 30 seconds then accelerate blue smoke will mean valve stem oil seals.

    would valve stems not smoke on start up tho?? these dont. could it be head gasket?

    hi i am looking to replace my coilpack vr engine and i have found one thats a dizzy cap engine. can i just remove the distributor and the end plate and replace with mine so i can mount the coilpack and cam sensor? or are there other changes? do i need to change cam in front of the cam sensor??? thanks for any advice

    as the tittle says its defo blue smoke which worries me , it only does it when warm, if i boot the car and load it up i get no smoke, if i drive gentle i get no smoke if i coast up to a junction pull away hard or softly i get one big puff of blue about 25% of the junctions then its gone. is this crank case pressure building up or do you think i have another problem thanks

    after selling my old valver then getting a mk3 vr i had to come back to a corrado. picked it up the other day fairly cheap and looking a bit sorry for its self gave it a service then fitted some spax adjustable coilovers and some wheels, these are temporary as i have some bbs LM replicas coming next week but this is how it stands
