    its off to the garage monday to go on there vag thing,Engine dying could be 1 of a 100 things smacking it on the pc's gotta be the easyest way to find out whats going on.

    I though i had cured this problem by changing the plugs and leads until today when it just dyed on me. Theres no coughing or spluttering before hand it just stops,Turn the ignition back on and starts up straight away. After reading throught the froum i can only think of 2 things in my mind and that would be a sensor(dunno wich one) or the coil pack? Anyone else had this kind of thing happen to them or have any ideas whats going on?

    Mine was ideling cack on cold start and kept cutting out randomly.changed leads and plugs ,it now starts great from cold and doesnt cut out when you least expect it

    As my vw red leads are now having there own private disco under the hood i purchased(waiting for delivery) some Magnicore ELECTROSPORTS 80 leads to replace them with anyone had any expirence with these leads? Most people ask about leads before they buy them i know but this was an emergancy iv got majour missfire and it ended up cuttingout while turning into a jucntion wich was fun! Its deffo my leads you should see the state there in there 2tone brown and red

    Before Yikes! Handled like poo After tracked Now it wants mate with the pathment all the time! The local tyre center said they couldnt adjust the camber on there machine i think maybe he was lying and couldnt be arsed, do kwik fit do camber adjustment if not could anyone recomend a place that does? Im running the standard vr gear.

    Wasnt optimax 98ron? V powers 99. I used to notice the difference in my lancia when i used to use optimax but since runnin vpower in the Dub i cant really feal any difference. I know for sure that premium fuel is a rip off at the minute at over £1 per litre so im using standard stuff for the mean time.     iv been scouting about the tinternet checking out prices on parts i need, may need and probly dont need and came across this place http://www.vwspares.co.uk/ Has anyone any idea about the quality of the bits from this place? One thing i cant find is red oem ignition leads is the only plave to get them from the stealer and what are they charging for them?

    I get the same its worse oncold mornings and short journys,recon the vr6 likes a few pints of petrol to get it started for each trip.

    Sorry about the basic questions i keep askingi have new car syndrom where im paranoid about every noise smell and wering noise,I'l get over it once i know whats normal. Anyway my air con works well but it bloody stinks i cant describe the smell. is this just a case of getting the system cleaned? I had a flyer through the post the other day saying that stealers where doing a full aircon service for £100,it said somthing like old gas removed system cleaned checked for leaks and regased.is this a heavfty price.

    no it got just normal aircon,i wonder if its somthing to do with recycle air button.and this is where the air is dragged back out of the cab and through the aircon again?

    Just had a new alarm/immob fitted as my insurance wanted a thacham approved immobilzer. Anyway for a hornet maxx1 alarm/imob full closuer n all that £250 fitted at my gaff. anyone in the bucks area need an upgrade id recommend this guy Andy Jocelyn 07967 783824 www.electrifyingtouch.co.uk He used to work at a vw garage as a car sparky hes a nice chap n all wich helps. Your all gonna tell me iv been robbed in a miunte i bet :$

    sorry yeah mine is in01 and 2 1not oel 01 02. maybe they did away with the oel reminder as its covered in a 01 sevrice anyhow. And as a new car i cant see why you would need to change the oil twice a year unless you were doing over the 10k service mark or thrashing the living shit out of it. Obviosly now the vr6 is middle aged its good to give it more frequent oil changes.Just like old people use cod liver oil to ease there joints the vr like clean oil to keep the atheritus at bay
