Where you can see the last person to post in a particular section, it would be nice to know which thread.

Next Rolling Meet - February 3rd - - Birmingham'ish!!!!!
FlameRX replied to Dub-Donna's topic in Previous Events
I'd be up for it, depends on work though as i'm usually on call. -
I do all my driving on town an country roads and get about 25-30! over 30 if i end up following a milk tanker. never seen less than 24 on the 12 mile run to work even if i floor it. The apprentice mechanic that works for me has a 1.2 corsa with no silencer and he gets the same mpg, lmao. mind you, he screams it everywhere, no need to do that with a v6. Its easy to drive it without going past 3000 revs if you are after fuel consumption, as on mine thats when the power kicks in. I always tell the wife to change at 3000. However, its difficult to resist the temptation.

Heres one for you. http://www.flickr.com/photos/22494001@N03/ -
full no claims, 37 yrs old. Hgv mechanic. 400 quid. almost a clean license. dr10 from 10 years ago. Postcode does me over too. even though i live in a little village in the middle of nowhere it comes under stoke on trent. I didnt think 400 was too bad considering what the car is capable of.

Finally getting it back from the garage tomorrow. Full service, ABS pump replaced and programmed. mot is at 10.45 so i should be on the road for dinner, lol. Just need to source a couple more parts. side skirt covers, front reflectors and the front grilles for the bumper.

ABS pump/ECU differences
FlameRX replied to nickbrn's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
i priced up an original from VW, 670 + vat. Hopefully the e model that nickbrn has sold me will do the job. -
Its basically original, full service history and a file full of receipts. i'll leave the wheel arch trims off if its not supposed to have them as i want it as standard as possible. only thing thats bugging me atm apart from the abs pump is that the leather steering wheel is ripped. I'll get a few more pics at weekend.

havent got any pics of the bodykit that was removed, but believe me, it was a chavs wet dream! lol 17" tsw alloys. don't like em. petrol flap removed for paint match. as you can see. no wheelarch trim yet, sideskirt trim missing as is the bumper! bumper has just been sprayed. need a few bits to finish off. more to follow.

angry chav stopped by police in a vr6 highline

lol, don't worry about it. its my experience that tossers like him tend to drive through hedges late at night or go head on over roundabouts. -

ABS pump/ECU differences
FlameRX replied to nickbrn's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
bump. I just fitted a replacement ABS pump that the breakers swore would do the job for £50. Now i have exactly the same problem as you do. The part number i need to replace mine with is 3A0 907 379 E. Can't see the number on the one thats fitted. Computer wont even read the pump at the moment. Looks like i need exactly the right one. -
ABS pump/ECU differences
FlameRX replied to nickbrn's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
I rang up for an ABS pump for mine earlier today, and was told that there are 5 different types and they need the correct part number to replace it. about £450 so i would imagine you need the correct one. -
just this bike atm, i usually hava a couple kicking about but i've had this 5 years.

i've got this problem too. Drivers side window only works sometimes. I'll check those connections.
