    I have an OBDII engine and read that this doesn't have an ISV but an electronic throttle body. Where do i go from here?

    I'm putting 20mm spacers on each side, but having difficulty getting the correct longer bolts, where do you guys get them from and what is the spec of a standard VR6 bolt, thread size and hex size? What's the difference between a fixed and loose head?

    I've got a coolant leak somewhere so would like to get this fixed as soon as possible, replacing everything with Samco silicone hoses, the thing is, i'm no mechanic but would like to get down and dirty, do the job myself, get to know the car better. How difficult is it to do this yourself and is there any guides available to assist me? Or if its too difficult for me how much would it cost to get this sorted?

    Not sure exactly how low but its lowered something like 35mm at the back, 40mm at the front. Ideally i want to go lower, upto 60mm but already i'm having problems with the front splitter scraping all over the place.

    Went to GSF, bought another set and wooohoooo!!!! guess what?? It didn't fit. I've pretty much given up on finding one that fits, i can assure you it is annoying as it is to look at.

    I'm in the fortunate position to have a good friend that works for Porsche, so i get the full valet treatment for free at their dealership. Was told it costs £160?? Not sure whether to believe that or not, but i'm certainly not complaining, the car really does look awesome after, i couldn't believe how much of a difference it made.

    Those gauges looks the nuts, was it difficult to install?

    Anybody here have these fitted to their car? Can you post pictures of what they look like in daytime please. I'd like to change my Hella duals for something different, i've seen a few Golfs around town at night with various angel eyes, looks really good. The thing that's bothering me though is the that the rings are of a yellow colour, is it possible to change the rings to a white or maybe light blue colour? Different bulbs? There's a set floating around on ebay for £239 (£16 p+p) ready fitted with HIDs, do you think this is too much?

    After reading your advice, i went out and refitted it making sure all the teeths are lined up in their respective slots, whacked it in all around and it still doesn't fit properly, i guess its just the luck of the draw. Will probably just buy another one.

    Ok, thanks for all the advice guys, i'll post up pictures when its all done and completed, may look at Monday now instead of the weekend to get it fitted.

    Can you specify the exact part name, are you talking about the hub bearings? I need 4 of these?

    I'm looking to get the standard suspension swapped over to FK Highsports coilovers this weekend, apart from the front top mounts, what else should i replace? My car knowledge aint so hot but i guess the black rubber thingies shown here in the middle are bump stops? Do i need to prepare the coilovers with the spray the night before fitting to give a protective coating? Anything else i need to do/know?

    Well, after i bought my new front splitter, i've read on another forum to avoid cheap replicas as they fit badly, i'm not sure if my one is a cheap replica as its a german one. Apparently the best place to get them from is VW themselves, but i'm not about to fork out another £40 just to find that it fits in the same way.

    After taking off the original front chin Spoiler/Lip/Splitter and fitting the deeper VR6 version, this is what it looks like: It doesn't fully join together, is this normal? Or have i bought a dud, i originally purchased it from ebay, but it did come from Germany.

    I've amassed alot of experience in removing the headlamps, the trickiest part is removing the grill but even that is pretty straight forward, yep the headlights themselves are just held in with 4 screws, easiest way is to use a 1/4" socket set.

    Its not Wheel Mania (not visited yet) but Chapel Street Alloys in West Bromwich, to be honest their own brand alloys (Rokit) looks good but the quality is another issue. I was only going for cheaper alternatives because i'm skint after buying my VR6 and getting it insured, but as POTN are offering interest free credit for 9 months, looks like i'll be purchasing the Kato's, £779 with Toyo Proxes delivered.
