Picked up the tt comps today, I have been quoted around £280 excl carriage to mirror polish by Pureklas but kinda looking around for a cheaper quote or maybe a local refurb place, anyone now of a decent place in London?? Thanks PS: The alloys have no kerbing at all but alot of laquer lifting.

Pete will let you know when they are off the car, the tyres are going to be used on the comps as the ones on there are the wrong size. Cheers

Ok it is official, just spoke with the wife and the vr is staying with us , however I have been kindly asked to cut back on my spending! lol..... so it seems like TT comps and lwoered is all this babe will see...sorry Pete. The tt comps need a refurb so itm ight be a while before it goes on.

Not sure yet Pete, we have a meeting with the financial advisor in 2 weeks so let's see how that works out. Might be able to hang onto it and will try as hard as possible to keep. As for the wheels, again not sure. Already bought a set of tt comps so very confused.com at the moment. Will need to sit the wife down and have a serious chat and we do require two cars in our household.

Thanks for the comments guy's...I am sad to say it will be for sale shortly as our morgage just came through today.........I might have to sell in around 2 months time.... or maybe sooner. Will know if the next week or two and I just bought me some TT comps as well

As above considering have a fix rate lowering kit on the vr as I know I will never ever adjust colies if I had them, looking at a few options of alloys, came across some 18" ani's of the mk4 but need to know what is the lowest I could go on 18's?? Thanks

As above, I have two options but not really sure whihc one to go for.... Option 1: What appears to be a standard set, minimal kerbing. £200 (NO TYRES) Option2 : MIrror polished set WITH 4 excellent tyres £400 (seen on ebay as that's if I can win it for £400) Generally what do they go for both standard and mirror polished? At the mo I am confused.com lol

Ok bought the car yesterday and drove fine, got a new spare key cut and programmed today and tested it out all was well......until I switched it off. Now it seems to have a mind of it's own. The car now starts whenever she decides to! I have tried both keys (old and new) and same issue. The new key was made at a locksmith who had this machine that read the old key and duplicated it. The clifford alarm also has an immobiliser but when the ignition is on and I press the button on the key fob the clifford led light goes off but will not start. Very strange! This has all occurred after the new key

I saw it on the loot, owner immigrating to Australia, owned since 02 and garaged, he did 25K in 5 years! very mature. The Rocford fosgate sound system that was removed looked awesome, but he did give the custom sub box which fits perfectly on the left on the boot. Will get some pics up later, it is a total minter! Will be up for sale when I find that vr'd cabby OR rather if I can find one lol. So if anyone that has one and willing to do a deal then let me know.

Was looking for a vr'd cabby then saw this in the local newspaper. 47K miles with full vw service history and could not resist as it was so mint........... still on the look out for the cabby but this will do for now. Just one pic for now, what ya think? WIll post some more tomorrow.

Turns out the key was fooked! Used the spare key and it fired up.

Hello guy's My neighbours ford 7 seater (vr engine) is not turning over. He tried powering the stater direct and the car did turn over but did idle. My first response was battery but he said that he charged that up, but my second guess is the immobiliser? Any thoughts? Thanks

Well at last decided on a set.....hmmmm not much different from other gti's but decided to go for the 18" monza's. The missus says it is a downgrade considering they are reps........well anyways here it is. Also for those who intend buying reps I would strongly recommend that you don't. The quality is really crap. Dropped the wheel nut on one and the laquer immediatly came off. Also the polish/diamond cut quality is really really crap, maybe will have them sprayed full black with a red outline soon, anyways here it is.......
