yeah take the shaft off the car put it in a vice with the outer joint facing down and hit the edge of the joint furthest from the spline with a copper/hide hammer down and it should come off ... its on a spring clip then turn it up the other way and put new boot on make sure u put the smaller clip on first then fill boot with grease put joint back on and hit down with hammer till pops over clip then put bigger clip on and job done ....
yeah u can do it mate easy for any engine company, y not just put a raddo 2.9 bottem end in mite be chaeper than gettin ur 2.8 bored out and buying 2.9 pistons and rings .... i got a set of 2.9 pistons of e bay for about £300 ....
