ok, how can i measure the belt while still on the car or does anybody know the measurements....long shot i know but havent got time this side of xmas to have car in garage again

contacted z-engineering today this was the response " is es en 7 ripp belt??" anybody translate?? think ripp means serrated or serrate, not sure about the 7

yep, hence my crappy time down the strip. Let me get this right , i have the small toothed belt at the top and this long belt that snakes around all the other bits is called the serpentine belt?? so what you are saying is get rid of the small one?? or have i got this totally wrong. whre did you get the belt from, is it specialist or anywhere?? cheers

ok, car has been in garage for a week for a real annoying squeal coming from the belts and pulleys next to the charger (as you can guess i'm no mechanical wizard!!) charger unit taken off and new bearings pressed in (does that sound right??) anyway i was there when he put it all back together, fired it up and yes that sounds f@@@ing ace.....for about 2 mins and then said squeal returned, admittedly alot quieter but still. Out came 'fitter in a can', sprayed around belts and squeal stopped....again not for long. Took some of the tension of the main belt (not the small toothed one) and sounded l

How hard is it for refs, i mean you can watch all the arsenal goals on saturday and pull them up for something, refs get half a second to make that call.Thats the way it goes sometimes, i'm just happy we won 4-0 away for the first time this season so i just love everyone at the mo!! Come next week when we knock you boys out of the league cup and then again in the fa cup life will be just perfect!!

How things change in 24hrs!! charger been overhauled now by a local specialist (Harvey Gibbs) so now real excited about getting it back. Glad i put some potential buyers off til weekend!!

tbh i get bored real quick with cars, missus reckons i'm having a mid life crisis, and the evidence says she's right!! 4 cars this year, bmw,172,scoobie and now this.

Like evo's but realistically only can afford early ones and dont want import as for passats, while my step dad has one know what i mean. Will probably go back to a oct vrs or a accord typr r if i can find one or a decent beemer or...really not that much choice. Maybe i'll love my vr again after it comes out of the garage.

Yep thats mine, originally put it on cos it was free and wanted to value it for my insurance, kind of went crazy after that 118 watchers, 1 bid of 6k!! In my little world of debts,xmas,kids etc money talks i'm afraid. As of this moment it didn't meet reserve (which i put high cos i didn't want to sell it originally) 2 offers i'm considering now its finished and today took to the garage to get bearings done. If i keep it great, if i sell it....oh well.

had a scooby, goddamn money pit!! all the other jap stuff no good as I have 3 kids, missus dont mind what I have aslong as everyone fits in!! The only downside to th Vr is the limited space in the rear and when trying to get the youngest in her car seat looking like a prat with my arse stuck out the car, really could do with 4 dr. Got offered a type ra 3dr but it was white.NO.

Been looking at loads, decided the old ones just look....too old. Cant afford a new shape one so might have downgrade to say a 328ci....hmmm...choices, also fancy a accord type r....what else?? car MIGHT sell tonight so need to make some quick decisions.
