Well yesterday was EXPENSIVE, or it will be when my bits arrive Ordered Milltek sports cats, and manifold to go with the non resonated exhaust fitted just now, and i also oredered some H&R suspension bits and rear spacers, i cant wait till this little ot arrives
-
Thats devotion for you, a super quick turnaround
-
Thanks guys, it is pretty clean, still not 100% happy with it but i will get there, wheels need a re furb, and it needs some sports cats :-p After that some loweing and wheel spacers, then i may just be happy, but i doubt it

Well ive had this for nearly 3 months now, how time flies when your having fun It was largely an impulse buy, seen it whilst waiting for phoos to be developed, test drove it and bought it.
I wasnt too sure on the 5 door originally but a few of my friends have 3door ones and TBH i actually prefer the 5 door shape
All the pics were taken by a friend mark just after he completed a 2 day detail beore E38

Big fan of this car, not sure what it is but it just looks so "right". A nice original example with some subtle mods, IMO only thing id do now is find some a pair of the optional Recaro seats that came in these cars
-
Thumbs down from me im afraid bud, your car looks awesome in an unmolested way i wouldnt change a thing
-
That is a crying shame, sacrilege
-
I still absolutely love this car, really want to build another mk3 but this seems ideal
-
Sounds to me as though they wil need set up on a headlight beam setter, as found at all mot stations
-
I cant remember the correct name for them its the same type of tool (albeit in a different size) thats used for unbolting the driveshapts frm the diff
-
As lomg as the number plate is readable and reflective then there should be no cause to fail
-
This is true, but 3rd in my VR6 equated to roughly 90ish, 3rd on my R32 is now about 87ish sfter being remapped, joys of an increased rev limiter!!!
-
Physically yes, but you will need custom mounts and TBH its not a reallu clever idea in a 5 door as the bench is much narrower and this is clearly visible when the rear door is opened, its disguised a bit in a 3 door.
Its a more common fit in a mk2
-
TT Dashes are a no no in a MK3 with Jay Renshaw, spent 6 months trying to convince him to do another, the front seats are the same as mk4 seats, need to be mounted on a custom bracket which makes them stupidly high at the front of the seat, and if you have short legs, they aint very comfortable, other way around it is to modify the bracket on the floor of the car, but the trade off is you cant swap back to original seats.
The rear seats tho, that IMO shouldn't be done, they are far too narrow to work in a mk3., but they can be done, just wouldnt look right

R32 wins hands down every time
-
Looks a stunning car, interior is spot on and the charger set up looks awesome
-
Should be able to get a real nice car for that money, rare colours like grey and silver are worth looking out for, and if it were me i would hold out for a car with RECAROs over any factory leather too, Unfortunately there are fairly rare but not impossible to find, in an ideal world a silver or grey car with climate and recaros, infact just like how mine was specced would be best IMO
-
Im going to Agree with Jays 2.9 in this, no matter what you do with the money in our current car you are literally going to be throwing money at a 10 year old Golf, and it will be worth far far less in the future than an R32
Sure you could buy a 4motion but like Jay says its not an R32, there are many differences between the two cars beneath the skin and IMO its always going to be second best, whether its supercharged or turbocharged to an R32.
After two months of owning an R32, revo stage1 map, non res miltek, and carbonio CAI later i can safely say its the best car i have ever owned and would recommend one to anyone
-
From memory the core is the same size. But a corrado and golf Rad aint nterchangeable
-
Are you sure that the sensor in the stat housing hasnt been damaged and is plugged in?? It should be located in the right of the 3 positions, as this sensor is waht controls the 3rd speed fan on air con equipped cars,
-
You could look for the 3.5 cab wheel, which is basically a 3 spoke mk4 wheel that fits the mk3, it looks 1000 times better than a mk3 wheel and as a bonus its a straight fit
-
Does it?? Id have said the exact opposite, a fettled 24v (remap) will pull like a train right to the rev limiter, whereas my 12v died top end
-
Really??? What u done to the 4Motion??
-
I run a Carbonio on my R32 was the first mod i did to the car, and i noticed a considerable difference and its surprisingly quiet too
got her back and looking good ... plus new lights
