  1. Bought mine at chrismas from Demon Tweeks. Total cost inc. vat was £199.00 (a bargain in my eyes). Happy with the lights depite a few delivery problems which they happily resolved for me.
  2. Cheers for the reply Brett. My thoughts too... i knew that my camber was adjustable. If you could post them pics up that would be helpful. I live in the Lake District, Cumbria! I presume the standard bolts allow adjustment and the uprated H&R ones just allow for additional camber changes?
  3. SNAP... my camber is out too and is causing excessive wear to the drivers side tyre. Again, the garages i've taken this to say that the camber cannot be adjusted. I have read recent threads that Justin (binliner) has posted and despite this, the mechanic(s) i've seen say that the 2 bolt from the hub to the shock aren't there and therefore no adjustment can be made???? Do setups vary from golf to golf? There must be a way. Also can the H&R bolts ventovr6 mention be fitted to a standard setup. However i presume these replace the bolts that my car is mising?
  4. It was a mate from Hadwins that fit them so I presume he will have wound the piston back in prior to replacing the caliper. Does this make a difference evem if you bleed the brakes after re-fitting? Whats the diffenece between doing this and just fitting then pressing the pedal? I still have this problem and it needs sorting. What should I be looking for on the slider pins out of curiosity? Thanks
  5. back to the top.... still geting hot! my local veedub specialist has looked over things but cant see anthing wrong, aprt from the obvious. HELP NEEDED
  6. Looks really nice mate, do you mind me askin where you got it sprayed at? I need similar doing to mine and that price seemed very very reasonable. Cheers
  7. I felt it was best to replace the hose since the one fitted was starting to split and perish! As for the handbrake, I have slackened the cable off using the 10mm adjusters located under the rear ash tray.
  8. No the caliper is brand new! Everything was greased as it should be and reassembled with no problems.
  9. Well this weekend its been more expense. Pads, Discs, Bearing and Brake Hose! Having fitted them and trying to retract / wind the n/s rear caliper it turned out that it had seized, so on went a new caliper. However after short journeys the disc is getting seriously hot. Any ideas on how I can fix / solve this problem. I need my car for work and it currently undriveable. Oh and after fitting the brake hose (n/s rear) this brake only was blead. Cheers Pete
  10. Me too... especially when driving at motorway speeds. Where do the washer go?
  11. Also interested in the upgrade and similar issues are worrying me. I've heard of problems with the celis rings failing. Are you contemplating the kit from VAG parts? Cheers, Pete
  12. Top work..! Looks like all that graft has paid off. I fancy doing the same to my comps. but find the whole thing a little daunting. How many hours did it take you in all?
  13. Is the one from daunsal-tuning the one with the metal lower part and how did you go about ordering it? or was it a simple purchase off ebay? Thanks
  14. Looks like flea bays the answer. Cant go wrong with £26 delivered! Thanks for the help guys
  15. Seems a reasonable price to me too! Does anyone else know who supplies these? I've been looking for a JOM grill for a while now but have been struggling to find one.... Can anyone verify as to wheter this grill has the metal lower part...*
  16. I am renewing my grille shortly and am trying to source the JOM 2-bar grille that has the metal bottom. Does anyone know where these can be purchased from and if so where are they the cheapest from? Any websites / contacts would be much appreciated.
