not into spending loads on a set up though, only wanting to lower the car a little, running on 16's with 215/40 tyres. what about H&R CUP Suspension set up? a set on egay for sale.

was looking at a set of Gmax springs and shocks for £220 but then found the AK coilovers for £300 inc vat. Are they worth the extra money or should i stick with the Gmax ones. :-d Cheers

looking at buying shock and spring kit to lower my car, just wondering how hard it is to change them myself? i have the car off the road so time is not too important. :-|

Hi there want to remove my plastic arches, but am left with a gap and a hole where the vr6 side srip ends. any ideas how to comabt this?? cheers :-d

Its a well know fault of the MK3 golf in general, I asked a stealler to replace my starter motor and they wanted £280.00. so I just got some heavy duty wire 2 jubile clips and attached the wire between the 2 broken ends, works a treat and has done for past 6 months. hope this is of use.

its comming out of the rocker cover pipe, its all twisted and wound like an element.

yeah sorry throttle body even, just a small ammount wiped it away too. managed to glue the filter to the tube as a temp fix until i can get one from ford, still unsure as to why that copper wire is in the hole. must be there for a reason cheers again :-)

my window does not open or close correctly, just goes a bit then stops. then have to push the button again. takes about five goes to shut and open fully

my light seems to stay on after i have driven it hard through the lanes for a while, any ideas? but after i turn the ignition off and back on again ity doesnt stay on

cheers mate, just one more thing, i found some oil in the area where the intake goes onto the carb housing. is this anything to worry about, or is this due to that pipe being broken?

You have to remove the covers on the center pillars, where the seat belts are attached. also the sunroof seal, Followed by the trim around the top of the roof( i just puleed my gentley until it let go) then it just comes out. but be very carefull as it is real flimsy, a gust of wind would snap it in Half. Then just a case of sliding new one in and replacing all the clips etc. i think i paid about £10.00 from a scrappy for mine a while back. not sure on different colours though, could only find the grey type. hope this helps

just as it comes off the head outlet and enters the big plastic disc type thing, sorry not very mechanicaly minded.

Hi all. I was having a little poke around in the engine bay before, as you do after washing polishing for hours etc etc. Id removed the air box to clean around it but after putting it all back together i noticed a strange whistling/sucking noise coming from a part just to the left of the main engine block. It looks like something snapped or sheared through leaving a pipe open. Very worrying. Looks like a fuel pump but smaller, about 8cm long attached into a hose by jubilee clips either end. Im not sure what the part is but i managed to clean it up enough to get the number. 021 129 101 A if an
