Pammibaby just noticed ure avatar picture and realised ure car or b/f car looks very similar to one that runs bout my area. You dont happen to live in Ayrshire do u???? If you do then your boyfriend will recognise my car and we spoke down at Eglinton car show a few months back there.

Ive seen this throttle body that ure talkin about and it looks very good. The flow is at optimum levels because of the amount of machining the company done to the throttle body therefore in my opinion would definitely work much better than a standard 2.9.

MY MK 2 VR6 Video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Snedboy replied to Snedboy's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
Sounds so good because of the custom exhaust and the filter. I spoke with a few companies about building my exhaust and the company who eventually done it built it to my exact spec i.e large bore, single box and deep rumble but still silent enough for those long motorway journey's. Not bad for -

Cheers for the advice mightyvr6. I already have Vibratechnics engine mounts all round. Is there better/stronger ones on the market? Is it best to use OEM big and small bearings and shells? or again is there better ones on the market? Cheers.

Was looking for some help and advice here. I'm planning on charging my MK2 VR next year and want to completely re-build the engine and box. The questions i ask are *Do you think it's worthwhile overboring the engine while its stripped down? It's a 2.9 at the moment and if so what pistons would be best to use? *What cams would be best suited to use with the charger attatched? *Whats the best ratios for my box? I want quick acceleration, aint bothered bout top speed to be honest.150 on the clocks good enough for me *Would it be worth getting the oversized valve head,or just get the head ported

wot capri vr???? if thats it then i want one !lol fair enough.thought u were meaning to have one like de renner's soz !ill

No i dont think so!!! The engine would never withstand that sort of boost even though its 1bar of boost it wouldnt stand that for long before melting a piston or four!! Alot of work needed to do that kind of turbo transplant coz its a big mother of a turbo under that bonnet. Low comp pistons would be ideal along with ported and polished head, regroung crank atleast,if not lightened and balanced, uprated rods, uprated bolts allround, metal headgasket, uprated injectors and thats just to name a few. Low pressure turbo's yeah stock internals are fine but as soon as u go above 7/8 p.s.i ure looking at
