He immediately goes to work on the damaged Rocker panel (which aside from the Megasquirt headaches was the main reason the previous owner sold the car) Goes to work on some electrical issues Then worked on repairing the body gaps! Walt States "amazingly solid...magnet sticks everywhere. TONS of crap primer on though, she definitely wasn't nowhere near ready for paint. " And really goes to town on her!

She returns! Unfortunately it does not last long. Megasquirt gives another misfit and the owner decides she no longer wants to deal with the headache. She attempts to sell her but no on wanted to deal with the Rustoleum paint; so, they decide to sand and re-prime! Hours upon hours later Displeasure be known. And finally a buyer is found. This Scirocco is now headed East , from California to Sourth Carolina. It is now February of 2011 and the new owner (at the time) named Walt came home to find this! Put it in his garage and began to look through the loads of

Installing E-Code’s Fast forward in time a little, add a hood scoop and a New windshield/ seal. Then, as with just about every car that starts to gets some progress, a booboo occurs... (notice the newer looking doors) Photo edited by owner, at the time. No time is waisted on repairs! Fast forward some more and the Megasquirt starts to act up a little. Owner, at the time, gets a bit of a challenge but eventually prevails; then, she decides it is time for her Rocco to be one solid color. She attempted to give it a makeover with few coats from a rattle can but

It is my opinion that any, true, Volkswagen enthusiast will appreciate this lengthy thread. For anyone not wishing to see this Rocco transform, skip to bottom. ***Warning, Lots of Pictures*** This is the story of a 1981 Volkswagen Scirocco S (Soon to be Supercharged Vr6) I have spent several hours (if not days) searching through the previous owners profiles to gather as much information as I possibly can. Not really sure, exactly, where this tale begins but I will start somewhere in California during the fall of 2004. A gentleman came across a 1981 Scirocco S with a Calloway Turbo setup

This weekend marked the 12th hour of polishing my 2.9l Intake Manifold (7hrs by hand, 5 with dremel). Previous owner Painted it green, I had to remove that before smoothing. Any one have any tips on how to get inbetween the runners? I really don't want to do them by hand! I still have a long way to go.

Name: VW Golf Mk1 (1980) Date Added: 03 January 2014 - 01:00 PM Owner: In-Line Vee Short Description: This was my first Scirocco, bought it with the intentions of swapping a Vr6 into it. In the process of looking for a donor car I came across the '81, which was in much better condition and would save me a lot of time and $$$. Once the '81 is complete, this project will begin. Either a Vr6 or 1.8T Syncro. View Vehicle

VR6Pete, I have been a long time reader (lurker) for over 8 years. In the beginning it was due to me not owning a Vr6, than it was due to the displeasure gained at another forum (stayed away from forums for a while), and finally I relocated and began collecting firearms opposed to working on my car(s). It has been a long time coming, and honestly I don't think I would have become an active member if it wasn't for this "Are you a lurker?" topic lol. I commend you for bringing us "lurkers" out of the woodwork lol. Ok, enough rear end smooching; but seriously, you are a good admin who is actual

Tons!, but the motor swap is not complete yet. I am still aquiring parts to rebuild the motor to my liking. My goal is to have the motor in and running by April; however the kompressor probably wont go in at that point (I want to brake in the motor N/A) Here ( http://www.volksdevil.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1914 ) is a link to the build thread. I have been debating on starting one here. I have been a member of this site for over 8 yrs but have never posted lol, I am a little over due..
