    hi guys, just had a new water pump due to a failure. Notice the thermostat housing is leaking pretty bad too, how many parts are ther and whats worth replacing? any idea on costs? Cheers Ash

    yrh, thermostat looks like its leaking. are they ahrd/expensive to fix?

    my water pump went the other day, before the highest it got to was 104, then after the new water pump it was getting to 110 so i had to slow down, any 1 explain this?

    i know my car is dragon green if thats what ou mean? think it could be quite a good thing on a darker car like mine.....good to let a bit of air in too, just look out for water getting in

    yeh i went down there last week. I wasnt however impressed with the track to the place......lol scraped a few things on the way up there, but then again my car is a bit low

    iv had my coiloers fitted 2 weeks now, and the rear bump stops have already split. does anybody know where i can get some decent ones?

    yeh the ones on ebay are the ones im talking about. I already have to put 5mm spacers on the rear to clear the coilovers. you think this is gunna be a prob? the main thing that worried me is the fact that early VR6 wheels dont fit over the calipers on late VR6's due to increased disc/caliper size.

    iv had the oil changed twice since i got my vr with 86k on the clock, now on 96k, had the chains done too coz got the dreaded rattles. not a cheap or quick thing to have sorted but my mechanic baught a vr6 knowing the chains had slipped and gave up on it coz it was taking to long to sort so figured it made sense to do it as i wanted to keep it.

    well mines deffo black, think i need to get it plugged in and get her fully diagnosed. its not doe it again tho i have to say.

    so what can i do to sort it? like i said its only done it twice, but dont want to just leave it if it keeps doing it

    i thought if it was valve stem oil seals then it would be blue smoke? and smoke all the time, well like when im giving it some stick?

    yeh. iv had a look on the past smoking threads but none seemed to come to a conclusion. iv recently put an induction kit on, could this be a problem? as for plugs and leads not sure, but its due a service

    on 2 occasions in the past week iv had a smoking problem. Iv just had a new sump as cracked the old one :S to low me thinks! so the oil is fresh. Used the synta sivler stuff 10/40 as recomended. the smoking occurs when iv floored it, then il slow down and be going down a hill in say 3rd, or 4th not gibing it any stick, then i dont really need to give it any stick or anything, and poof a big cloud of black smoke comes out. Iv read a few things on here but none came out with a fixed idea of what i can do to sort it. I think its black smoke not blue so i beleive its over fueling? how can i get
