  5. Looking at converting my mk2 to 4wd and have been offered a setup from a v6 4mo for pennies... Now apart from the obvious (floorpan, etc) will the rest bolt up easily enough? Has anyone done it? I know the mk3 syncro and rallye setup bolts up, but not too sure if anyone has done the mk4 route on their mk2...any help will be much appreciated!
  6. Done a mk2 vr conversion and its running rough..i dont think its missing as ive changed the coilpack to a brand new one. It may be the leads, so im going to try my personal set tomorrow. I vagcom'd it and nothing came up. One thing i realised is that when i unplugged the cam position sensor, the engine ran the same as before, and the engine even started when it was unplugged. Is this meant to happen? I unplugged the maf and there was no change either. I was told that it could be the throotle body as well? Any ideas guys, the customer is picking up the car next wekend!
  7. I will have my vagcom with me as well!

  10. Engine loom is run through both chassis legs with the ecu located behind my glovebox. Only part of loom on show is the round engine plug which exits underneath my heater matrix hoses.
  11. As its been 2.5 years since i pulled my engine apart, ive forgotten how to put back the oil pump assembly!! Does anyone have a exploded diagram of how it goes back together? Failing that, is it shown in the bentley manual?
  12. Well, been working on it gradually over the last week or so... Put me rear light clusters in.. My roof guttering strips..(at £115 a side ) 1 rear quarter strip.. Boot seal.. 15. Ive often used a Racelogic traction control system on one of our customers charged mk3 vr'6 and she was very happy with it. The throttle response was awesome on launch! Having driven hers numerous times, ive now invested in one to fit onto my mk2 vrt...
  16. Right, a little update seeing that i havnt said anything since december.BBS RC's are on and yesterday we done the steering column adaption. Basically, ive retro fitted the corrado tilt column intomy mk2 to with the corrado dash. With the aid of my friends generator and welder, me and 'brains' decided to tackle the major point of securing my corrado steering column mount inot my mk2 golf (not an easy job as im sure alex will say!!) Alex thought it would take half an hour max, but it ended up more like 4 hours because i wanted it better than perfect!! So, i will let the pictures do the talking!!
