  1. i fink i no where they go as i had 2 change 1 that looks the same as the top 1 in the pic last night. it looks 2 me like the top 1 in the pic comes from the front of the block and goes in 2 a sqare thing (duno wot it is lol) just behind that black plastic tube that goes across the front of the block. and the other 1 goes 2 that plastic pipe. well thats wot they look like 2 me but not 100% on that.bad thing is i had 2 take the front end off 2 get 2 it!
  2. try the idle valve on the left hand side of the fuel rail
  3. not the oil breath pipes are they? the ones that go from the rocker cover to the air intake pipe (that connect 2 the throttle body?) around that sort of area? wot sort of size are they and how many did u get in the set?
  4. its not just me then. had my vr 3 months and in that short time i have had a water leak , gear box gone wheel bearing gone , drive shaft , engine mount, and to top it off bent 5 valves and snapped 1 that then smashed a piston and stuck the valve in the head along side a spark plug. now i have changed the engine it has this bad missfire that i cant seem 2 sort out

  6. must be one of the heater piped split. where it goes through the bulk head
  7. just 2 let ya all no i have done the timing 2day, 1 tooth out. all seem good til i took it out. its all good til i let the gas off then put bk on it seemes 2 hesitate. also when i revers it firefires just as bad as it used 2 before i did the timing. now this has realy puzzled me. any ideas?
  8. have changed the cam sensors and have checked the leads are on correct . even chabged the leads
  9. stil no good changed plugs ,lead , coil pack injectors checked all pipes for splits or leaks but stil running like a tractor. does any think it could be head gasket ? or a valve sticking? if not goin to have to get it on a tester.
  10. thanks for your help mate . last night i swapped the injecters with my old ones and it cured it so i took it for a drive and then went back to a bad misfire again. i didnt change the fuel rail tho so maybe some crap in the fuel rail and blocked an injector again maybe. il try changing the fuel rail and wil try vacume pipes like u said. once again thanks for ya help really appreciate it . stuart
  11. can any 1 help! got my engine in and all 2geather but seems 2 have a bad misfire. checked the leads and plugs and all spark so duno wot else 2 check. has been stood 4 a while and wot wet but blew everythink off with air line and sprayed with wd40 but stil no change. wot do you lot sujest?
  12. m on 141k just went bang !!!! replaces with around 90k engine. last 1 was L reg and had done 191k and stil goin strong til i wrote it off!!
  13. yeh polish it im in the process now takin ages but wil be worth it.
  14. im 19 with no ncb and 2 years of driving and hardly any 1 would touch me so im paying £2100 tpft with insurance factory
  15. im 18 got a vr6 L reg and i was quoted £7300 tpft so i had to do it in my mums name as a named driver and now i pay £2196. that with les than a years driving
