Didn't want to start another thread off as mine is virtually the same topic! Mine is on standard suspension and I'm getting exactly the same, less gap between the top of the wheel and the wheel arch at the rear than at the front. Its a 1997, done 46K and I'm the suspension doesn't seem to have been touched since it rolled off the forecourt! I was planning to go from the standard 205/50/15" BBS alloys to the VW 16" montreal II alloys and put 215/40's on (I have been told Toyo Proxes are excellent tyres and good value at approx £80 a corner).
