Try here for the bbs solitude centre caps. Not cheap though! https://sslrelay.com/s74326199.oneandoneshop.co.uk/sess/utn;jsessionid=1543bd1c2954671/shopdata/0015_VW/0010_Golf+MK2+=2B+MK3/0030_Hub+caps/product_details.shopscript?article=0020_MK3%2BGolf%2BBBS%2Bhub%2Bcap%2B%3D281H0601171BBXF%3D29 -

The outer rim that holds the tyre and air is one piece, the other piece is just a bolt on front. I discovered this when i took one apart last night! I emailed BBS to find the torque settings and got a reply from 'Wendig' - "we do not publish torque settings as it is not allowed to split the rims, this will lose your garanty and your safety" Obviously they have to cover their backs in this situation, so i understand them not wanting to give out torque settings, but is it actually dangerous to use the wheels if they have been split and put back together using appropriate torque settings? If th

Does anyone know the correct torque for doing these bolts back up?

Highlines were only made in black and purple. They have special badging - vr6 in silver on a black background. They have black a, b and c pillar interior trims. They all have colour coded leather interiors and a/c - although leather and a/c was optional on all mk3 golfs. They have vr6 imprinted on the door sill trim As for wheel arches all late vr6s didn't have the black plastic trim as found on early ones and gtis. Probably a couple more differences. Oh and if it's a highline it will state so on the V5

Ask if he had it serviced at a vw dealer, if he did then you could contact them and see if they have any record of services on that car. I think they keep a record.

I put a set of mk3 Anniversary RXIIs on my highline without knowing what spigot rings were, i have had no problems, they fitted fine.

I just bought 4 toyos from mytyres, £57.50 each - 215/40/16. They will be fitted tomorrow and i hope they are as good as i've heard they are!

Just take what ever you get for it. Although i'm not sure i'd send an airbag through the post....

Even a Porsche Cayenne engine based on the VR6! (Probably very similar to toureg engine)

yes. all late VR6s and gtis seem to have this spoiler. Not sure when it was changed. You can get the older deeper ones from ebay for about £25 or look in a scrappy. Just bolts/clips on and off.

As per Evil Fully Synthetic is too thin. Best to use part synthetic and change it often
