Now the good weather is here I have finally got under the car but I have noticed that the rear wheels turn independently of each other as opposed to opposite when rotated by hand is this right ??
Thanks guys but havnt got too much history and I'm reluctant to spend money on a diff that's possibly no good! How sure are u that an oil and filter change could solve the problem
Ok people I have just picked up a 4 mo and apart from a few niggles I love it. But ..... Sometimes on a tight corner the back feels like it drags do we think diff is shot or does it jus need a service prices and time to do the job greatly appreciated :-)
Right I don't seem to have any air leaks and connectors seem good but I have noticed that if I rev it but not hit boost it's fine but when boost is made it revs down real lumpy almost with a miss no fault codes at all ??
Yeah I have one works really well just make sure it has the voltage regulator with it otherwise it WILL burn out in hours you can mod a car phone charger to do this tho :-)
Bungy a £500 shed is exactly what I had on mind and does anyone know about removing the front shafts from an o2a as bodge said I'm pretty sure it can be done leaving it fwd only so why not the other way round don't really want to put the engine in the back as would be wanting to retain seats and versatility ??
Honestly I have no idea about the stuff another idea some friends had was a diff from a 1 series and drive shafts mounted on a front golf sub frame then mounted at rear I presume cut the driveshafts and have welded together ??
Hmm I like ur response what about running syncro gear but modding the gearbox so all power goes to rear surely the cost of the gearbox work would out weigh the fab work ??
Right I have had this idea bouncing around in my head for some time so I thought I'd throw it on here and see what happens good or bad !! The idea would be to fit a rear diff etc keeping the engine up front basically could I , should I , and how ???
