phil08 0
Hi Guys,Struggling to find a nice example of a VR6 at the moment. But have come across this one on ebay. What do people think about the car? Also any advice would be great! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-VR6-RED-sexy-beast_W0QQitemZ280003224669QQihZ018QQcategoryZ9873QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
mike 6
Looks ok from the pic, decent millage at least. id say it was a bit over priced id want leather/17s for that price. im not a huge red fan eitheradvise: some nice ones for sale on here thats where i got mine try and get a P reg OBD2, as far under 100k as possible unless chains been done, check out all electrics and look out for rust
phil08 0
Cheers for that, i actually quite like the red but would have thought it could fade in colour. Just missed out on a corker of a black highline on ebay.i will have a closer look at the ones for sale on here, like everyone i'm sure i'm looking for as low mileage as possible
badboyV6 4
i think that is lovely (at a first glance) low mileage and at 2750, cheap! And personally i like red VR's, cant understand why so many people dont like them. Wayne Russells old red mk3 is a corking example
phil08 0
I have offered him £2,250 when he last had it on ebay @ £3000. He declined it but now would like to talk about the offer i made him so i'm seriously tempted, but there just aren't any examples around that catch my eye. I would probably pay £4000 for a real nice one but where are they?
mike 6
if you have 4k to spend go for a highline like mine, they come with leatehr and air con have seen some go for as little as 3300. only come in black and purple thoclick: http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?123765
matth76 1
Pretty good price... I bought mine for £3400 with 69k on the clock less than a year ago so I would say the car in the ad is still a good bargain. Sounds good mate. Go have a look at it. Ring up the garage that serviced it previously to find out what their opinion of the car is and what may need doing in the near future. Full main dealer service history doesn't mean anything ...my local Caffyns is crap! If you do buy it get it serviced and looked by the likes of The Phirm or Stealth ...half the price of a main dealer but 10 times more experienced.
vr6madmike 0
Its been around the ring!
Focker-out 0
Looks nice and is prob slightly rarer than the "Highline" due to it being red!Nice miles too, ok no leather or recaros but thats easy fixed!
phil08 0
Well i have looked around but can't really find much else yet. I have emailed the guy but have had no reply as yet. I suppose fitting leathers in the car is not a big job as such?
badboyV6 4
Its been around the ring!not necassarily - some people buy the stickers ;-) but worth asking about ;-)
