gav_113 0 Posted May 24, 2006 Report Share Posted May 24, 2006 thought i would share my new tailgate with you all i personally think the std boot lid looks shite, so i decided to do something about it!!i had a piece of metal folded to replace pilth and a rnd piece punched to replace badge, also i had to weld up hole for lock under pilth.first i welded it all up then ground down welding flat with the skinnext stage was to skim boot lid with filler and shape, followed by a coat of primer until i take it to work to 2K gun prime it.i'll post the finished item when its all done Link to post Share on other sites

gav_113 0 Posted May 25, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 25, 2006 yes mate! all done myself.. i work in the trade. it should be all painted and fitted up by the weekend, so i'll post a pic. i think it is going to look good. just need to sort solenoid out, coz there is no way to open boot now!but that shouldnt be to hard to do, i will put a button on the dash to open boot, also i can programme my clifford to open it from the key fob!!
