garfy 0
I had a 4-wheel alignment done some time ago in which they had to drastically change the camber on my front right.Since then there is a noticable bearing noise when under load but most worrying is that at motorway speeds, the the car seems to 'float' ie there is 3-5 cm movement in the steering wheel each way before any reaction from the wheels.Any ideas? mannie 0
check you track rods and ball joints, you can do this buy jack up the car on both sides support on axle stands, with the steering lock in the off position get someone to hold the steering wheel in the dead ahead position.1)hold the road wheel at the quarter pass nine position and rock it side to side if there is play then its the track rod(s)2)hold the road wheel at the half pass twelve position and rock it in and out,any play then its the ball joint(s)repeat 1&2 on the other side.if all ok get your shocks check out.good luck.
