I will be fitting a dual exit exhaust soon (see engine/exhaust forum!) and i need to modify the bottom piece of the bumper to allow the second exhaust pipe to fit properly.

What is the best way of cutting/melting the bumper so make it fit? I want it to look as good as possible and would prefer not to go pay a bodyshop to do it (unless it wouldn't cost much!!!)

Cheers

Hi,

I have a dual exhaust on my Highline. My mate fitted it and said it was a bugger to do! Had to make a bracket up as obviously there isn't one already on the driver's side. Didn't have to make any bumper modifications though, sits nicely just below the bumper! Did have a photo of it on here before the photos were taken off. Not sure how to upload another photo in the new way. What I like about it is, I haven't seen another Golf around my area with one. Its a bit different. I got mine from Raceland. Was originally going to get it from VenomMotorsport but Richard had problems getting it in.

Cheers

my scorpion dual boxer was a bugger to get under the bumper, so i copied the other slot on the bumper, and now it looks too big. but i wouldnt worry too much, as no-one will notice the bumpers as you lash past with the exhaust shouting out "VR6, VR6"
