vr6madmike 0
Chect the fuses, then the wiring loom that goes into the seat, if the seat has been moved back and forth a lot its common 4 the wire to come loose, if not then its the element.

stuey 0
I have the same problem, there are relays under the seats which you can check. Find a quiet place, and turn each seat on one at a time. If you put your ear near the front of the seats low down you should hear a click. If you do the relays should be ok, and the wiring to them. Mine click ok but there is no heat from any part of the seats, it is probably the elements If anyone knows better it would be good to hear.
Guest stevescaife
Well!! One seat doesn't have a relay and the other seat the relay doesn't click!! Where can I get these relays fron cheap?? :?
stuey 0
I don't know about cheap, VW might not be too bad. You could try swapping your relay to the other side to test it before buying new ones, just in case it is the wiring or the rotary switches. Since you need one relay anyway, get two and try one of them to see if it fixes the fault. If not hopefully you can take one back.

Chrisdut 0
no just for one, if the relays are clicking and there is no heat still then the elements are dead, the only way to fix is to replace with new ones, they aint cheap either, had to price up for a bloke the other week, plus the seats need stripping right down to remove and fit new element
