Seademon 0
If you do a search on the forum the topics of turbos & superchargers have been covered in depth a few times already & you should find all the info you need.

FishWick 21
Yeah I think Pimp Cat meant Turbo AND Supercharger, as per VW's new 1.4 engine.I'm not aware of anyone running a Vortech (or other) charger and turbo on a VR6. Would be quite difficult space wise.Personally I'd just go biturbo instead, using a small one for low rpm funkiness and a bigger one for 911 whooping zone :-)
antera309 3
Running a centrifugal supercharger (such as the Vortech, VF-E, Z-E etc) along with a turbo would give no real advantage, as a centrifugal charger doesn't produce boost until 3500RPM anyway. You may as well twin-turbocharge. HMS Engineering in Germany http://www.hms-tuning.de/ have successfully twin-turbo'd a VR6. HPA Motorsport http://www.hpamotorsports.com/ in the US have done it as well.Using two small turbos rather than one big one gives a very lag-free setup, great for driveability. Mega-bucks though!Enjoy!
