binliner 0
As above... the car is unlocked but the button just presses in like its still locked! any ideas on whats wrong? and more to the point what I could do to open it so I can fix it?
MarkGolf 6
If you can't possibly open it with the button, maybe get someone on the inside to push it while u pull from outside...If that doesn't work, climb in the boot, undo the screw in the recess handle bit, pull the plastic cover off, and find the pull for the lock and pull it to unlock the boot... if that doens't open it, then it'll seem that tailgate has jamed on somehow! Guest Olly_K
as mark says really, there should be a "rod", pull it left and then right to see if it will release the catch

six appeal 53
I now the pin has fallen off on a few I've had to fix when the boot won't open.
binliner 0
what pin is that?
six appeal 53
Theres a pin/rod connecting to the lock to push it over on the central locking (Sorry Justin difficult to explain!)
jcorallo 0
Have you tried using the actual key to unlock the boot?
binliner 0
yeah that doesnt work either
six appeal 53
Definately sounds like the pin/rod then Justin, it connects the key end to the actual lock part, via the central locking mechanism!
