them being abs brakes wont make them feel any different in normal driving at all. only when you stab at them and cause the abs to activate.

try bleeding the brakes through as there may be a little air in the system. also, check the discs for glazing, as they may have been used a little too harsh in the first outing. other than that vr brakes are a little different to most cars with the front end being so heavy.

I have found that also' date=' even with upgraded disks & pads. I have heard talks of being due to heavy car etc... can agree to certain extent but feel they should b a little more responsive for ABS! deffinately not as bad as mk1 cabriolet though!

MK1 brakes!!! what brakes? none of the 3 i have owned ever stopped with any confidence! one even had a nuespeed brake intensifier on and they were still shit! just down to all the linkage on rhd mk1 lhd ones brakes are much better! less gubbins straight to the pedal, the vr6 is nearly as good as my rallye brakes, but likes been said i think its down to the weight of the lump in it!
