Where can I get a new bodycoloured rear spoiler?

Hi

I've got a Golf VR6 (non-highline).

Are there any companies or website which sell VR6 body accessories - I am in need of a bodycoloured rear spoiler if possible? I enquired at my local VW garage and they do one for the Highline (but it should fit non-highlines I assume too) which is all primed at

have a scout around the classifieds or ebay, breakers like vw sport in nottingham may have them? unlikely that you will get one in your body colour though! you may be lucky? as for the side skirts later cars didnt have them so again you would have to get them painted or fit aftermarket ones? vw do votex side skirts but they are expensive

why not just have your current spoiler and skirts sprayed? probably work out cheaper than buying new parts.

The metal inside my plastic side skirts is going rusty ... making the plastic on the outside go bubbly.

I have the full Votex kit on my VR6 and you might be able to still get the rear spoiler from VW if your after something different - its only slightly different from a normal rear spoiler but is a nice subtle change 8)

are you sure its not the metal that is part of your car? if it is, take the plastic off and have the rust repaired...my car has no plastic sidesk0irts...it looks fine...as for the rear spoiler, get one from eurocarparts or germanswedishfrech and have it painted (should cost less than 100 pounds for a rear spoiler!!!!)

Thanks for all your replies guys. I was told by a paint specialist that the plastic side skirts had metal inside them that was going rusty. He assured me it was not part of the car. Is this true... do the plastic side skirts have metal in them? If they don't I will need to get someone to have a look asap if there is rust on the actual car.

yes they do i've just taken one of that had cracked and it was rusted to fuck, replaced it looks mint , trouble is other one looks a bit shit now, looks like that's going as well

when you put new strips on the skirts, paint the back of them with waxoyl or similar so they dont rust in the future.
