Guest masta j
Thanks nick i assume its the same process putting them as on the bike i.e gettin a socket with the same diameter as the outer race of the bearing? Whats the best way to get them out?Sorry for all the silly questions just deciding wether i can do it my self ans save 40quid a side for it to be done "proffesionally"Thanks for all your helpJoe
Justicevr6 0
Once you have the hub removed take the seals off and bearings and that will leave the bits that are pressed into the hub , if you get a chissel and hit the inner edge (Fatest side) of the bearing from the opposit side then the bearing will come out very easy, when putting the new one's in just make sure you start them off square and they will go in easy, when you get to the last bit use a socket to push it home.Check that is butted right upto the hub flange put the new greesed bearings in ,refit inner seal. put the rest back together. job done
andy 0
If you do it yourself make sure you don't over tighten the hub nut on reassembly, lots of people do and wonder why there hubs overheat and bearings crumble. They only tighten hand tight, whilst spinning the hub.
