J5KE F 0
Does any 1 know how to temporarily retard the ignition on a coil pack VR? I am looking to run my 75 BHP nitrous jets however The Manufacturers recommend retarding the ign by a couple of degrees. I am running a digital progressor and have an output to switch it, but have still to find a suitable way of retarding. %-6 The only way i can think of is to somehow use the ECU any ideas would be very helpful...Hampshires VR Nut

badboyV6 4
hmm thats a question for the professionals... SPeak to someone who really knows there stuff.... forge motorsport maybe? there cant be many cars like yours runnig NOS and a charger.... Its quite anawkward one really - does the ignition timing need to be retarded just for the duration of the shot?
VRmonster 1
id just fit the kit. no need to retard. theres a lot of play in the vr6 ignition anyway, if you happen to knock with the nitrous then you will feel it instantly as the knock sensors will pull the ignition for you, then you can look to get a remap, otherwise it should be ok.
