jezmoz 0
I got the car back with numerous problems but the main one seems to be the tailgate glass, it has a hole in it about the size of a penny in the top right hand corner for I'm told a break light. This car is a k reg vr6, they didn't have break lights on the tailgate??? I think, well that's what it had when i got it, no brake light, besides there's no wiring for it!! They are saying they ordered to the chassis number, furry muff, but i've still got a windscreen with a gromet in it!!!!! what should i do?
purple highline monster 0
its the wrong glass! my highline vr has a high level brake light but no hole in the glass! its on the inside in the top middle of screen all wiring is internal, only holes in glass are for spoiler bolts x3, only thing i can think is that an option spoiler was available and wiring came through the glass into that? but its wrong for your car anyway! so take it back again!!!!! richievr 1
sounds wrong pm me your chassis number i'll see what i can find out . . .
jezmoz 0
never, i repeat never let nationwide repair centre repair your VR, they haven't got a clue! If only they'd have let me use a dub dealer then all this could have been avoided. By the time this car has been fixed it will have quadrupled the vw quotye anyway !!! ~
ingham 5
insurance job?ring them and tell them as knowing ins comanys they will not have sent payment yet, sure that if repairs think that they aint getting paid they sort it asap
jezmoz 0
insurance already know about it, they're not rushing to do anything at all, in fact it's the opposite, i go away next week for two weeks so fuck it lookslike it'll have to wait until i get back! VR6Rich 3
Did yours have a hole in the tailgate glass before? If not then tell them to replace it with the right glass! You dont want some bodged on spoiler with a brake light, especially with the wiring poking through the glass!
jezmoz 0
nope , the hole is an absolute mystery, thay said it's for a brake light!!! nobody seems to have one, it must be for a mk4 or summat

The1andonlygav 0
Hi ya mate. I work for Autoglass, and have replaced many a golf back window. And never, i repeat, never have i come across one with a hole in the top right corner. It is true, that for the spoiler model, you have 3 holes for the spoiler to screw into. I also do work occaisionally for nationwide, and they are the biggest bunch of cowboys i have ever come across. SO TAKE IT BACK AND DEMAND THE CORRECT GLASS BE FITTED TO YOUR CAR!! jezmoz 0
the glass they put in isn't even available from vw !!!! It was an import from Australia as the spoilers with a built in brake light were only available in oz!!! So where the fuck Nationwide got it from , god knows! I am perhaps the only person in GB to have one ??? For the time being
jezmoz 0
The hole that's caused so much trouble[the grand canyon (missing screw)where do the badges go duh !dodge where's my grill gone ???? the other one was broken???

antera309 3
They could have at least put a rubber grommet over the hole!! What a bunch of cowboys!Get them to swap out the glass for the correct type. The correct one should just have 3 small holoes, for mounting of the spoiler.
