I'm abit narked about it tbh.I'll check out ecp...thanks. I've got Hella uks no. from the supplier so hopefully they will tell me somewhere to get them, just wondered if it was the same for everyone else.

Pittuf 0
It is litterally a plug adaptor to fit the standard golf headlight wiring loom into the back of thye head lights so that bit it isn't anything major Nick.Still not sure about the H4 bulbs bit though, probably should have put this in the electrical bit. Will go and post over there to see what the the bulbs are.
Matt W 4
Its just an adapter, some of the headlights on the Golf 3 had a 4x1 connector where as others had a 2x2 connector. All the adpater does is allow you to plug one into the other can't remember which way though. As to the H4 (single chamber lights) or H7 (dual chamber lights) bulb thing, the H4 bulbs don't require the jumper supplied with the set as the highs and lows are not on at the same time, they are switched (or you'd burn the bulb out). But if you have the GTI style lights with the H1 bulbs (original GTI lights) then the highs and lows stay on together, that is whay you require the jumper. The instructions that come with the lights are very straight forward with regards to fitting everything for the lights!I hope that makes sense if not i can try and explain more on any points that are not clear but the Hella Celis lights are definately H7, the original dual chamber (GTI) lights are H1 and the single chamber lights (CL) are H4! Pittuf 0
Nice one cheers for that.I won't need to worry about this bridge as the vr is not H4. It is the H4 that needs it, just checked the manual.

VR6Rich 3
Jon, didnt need adaptors to fit my hella celis lights. What shape is the socket on your wiring loom? Mine is an oval shape.BTW would I need to fit this link if I was going to put lights in with H4 bulbs? I.e. the opposite way?
Pittuf 0
I can't quite remember, from memory when I f itted the inpro ones it was a square adaptor, but I really need to check.Spoke to Hella UK today and the guy I spoke to didn't think I needed one, then I gave him the p/no. fron the instructions and it was for a mk3 golf so he was uncertain. We agreed as above to check before I go ordering any.As for the H4 bulbs bit, not sure, if they are Hella Celis then I would say yes, but how this relates to other makes or even other Hella headlamps I don't know.
