Adamski FRST 0
quote from your previous postThe OBD 1 engine is also easier to mod due to less emmisions and ECU software restrictions (i.e. less CELs from modding) and should produce slightly more power stockthis is why im glad my highline is a OBD1 easier to tune admitadly the 2 has advantages but i'd rather have 1 as a matter of interest wat reg is your car mine is N ??? VR6Rich 3
Unless they reused OBD1 throttle bodies on early OBD2 engines then thats defo an OBD1.Heres an OBD2 throttle body (my car):
VR6Rich 3
BTW everytime ive seen stock VR's on the rollers late OBD2's always put more power out than OBD1's. Vince at Stealth confirmed this too.
FishWick 21
Out of interest, how are the OBD2s for stalling? OBD1s can be a pig for it....I know my Corrado is. I'd love to dump the ISV but it's bit of a job....
VR6Rich 3
Never really stalls on me. I think maybe twice its stalled due to my own incompetence! :-D

FishWick 21
Never really stalls on me. I think maybe twice its stalled due to my own incompetence! :-DJammy sod!! I have to be careful when dipping the clutch at junctions etc otherwise the engine is in real danger of going to sleep on me. I've tried everything..... so Vince has got it this week to investigate the stalling and an intermittant lack of urge at 4000rpm.
