Water started flowing out all over the place.RAC and a mate have both said it's coming straight from water pump.Has anyone else had this porblem, know how much to replace. Nerih 0 Posted July 3, 2005 Report Share Posted July 3, 2005 ive had my water pump go on my vr, luckily it didn't blow up, you can see it 'going' by the water leakage + the pump's pully wont track (rotate) striahgt & will wobble.To replace this is an arse of a job, i got away with un doing the engine mounts and just jacking the engine up, its a tight fit to get the pump out though without damaging any ancilleries.It should take a competant mechanic 2 hours to do.
