Cooz93 66
Hi guys. Looking to supercharge my vr6 over the next few months and one thing I'm quite stuck on is the management. Where I live there aren't really any 'specialist' in the vw to map it. Has anyone used c2 motorsports before? Or who else? Any recommendations.. It's an obd1.. Cheers:)

Cooz93 66
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I'm about 550 miles away from Surrey haha! What stage are you at with your build?

c00k 435
You can also send your ECU away, and they can map it for you, and send it back. Usally this is just a base map, and ideally you would want to get it live mapped on a rolling road afterwards. But a base map would enable you to drive the car safely. And give you much better fuel to air ratio, and timing. Almost all VR6 ECU need a socket solder in, so they can have a re-programmable chip fitted. There are a one or two that do have sockets fitted as standard. You would need to check the ECU code to check. Once a socket is fitted the chip can then be re-coded at a later date. If you have new mods, or want finer tuning. Two company's that offer this service are: VW parts international http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161178493797&globalID=EBAY-GB http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161221252143&globalID=EBAY-GB Or Dubforce tuning. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=131425873383&globalID=EBAY-GB http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=131425875466&globalID=EBAY-GB But a car map is always best set up for that car and fine tuned on a rolling road. So I would recommend getting this done afterward. But it up to you. Edited July 16, 2015 by c00k
Cespo500 1
All ecu's ending with a 256 needs to have the socket fitted. If you have a ecu ending with a 259 then you dont need the socket. United motorsports is the best F/I chip out there. Of course you can rolling road it. But only person I would trust is vince from stealth. Again do your research before purchasing your chip. c00k 435
Vince from stealth racing is a top bloke and really knows his stuff. I would second stealth racing as the company I would choose. But it's up to you guys, as there your cars Edited July 16, 2015 by c00k Wet bandit 81
