paceo 22
hi guys, picked up another golf vr6 obd1 as the bloke had the hump with it!!!! it starts but you have to keep your foot on the throttle for 5 minutes before you can let it idle as it will cut out when cold, when you put your foot on the throttle it splutters badly and stalls, it stinks of fuel!!! STINKS!!! its running on a dizzy. just want your ideas, ive got a few but some more input would be good! ive got a fully running OBD1 so will swap bits over but im way too busy at the moment!!! its also way way too full with oil. Reaperx 181
I would give it a good service engine flush fuel treatment and a good run out and then take it from there. I may be wrong as I'm not that familiar with the vr6 yet but isn't a faulty isv usually the fault for bad idling could try cleaning that up too.

Things like MAF, blue temp sensor, lambda could cause these symptoms, you say it's dizzy, have you checked the ignition timing?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk paceo
