VR6Pete 1,455
Depends what you want to do mate.you can either polish them by hand, or pay to get it done, you could optionaly get them powder coated, this generally comes in at £35 - £45 over in the UK.
VRVIRGIN 0
What does powder coating entail Pete, bit lost in the techy side of wheel refurbs. I basically want to get rid of all the nastiness that is the kerbing of the rims and some dodgy white stains on the wheels what seem like they could be corrosion marks, then buff it all up to Justins or Slims level of blingness. Am i asking the impossible here? Doin it myself is impossible cos A) i'm lazy B never done it before and C) doing between 14 - 16 hours a day shifts. Whatcha rekkon?
VR6Pete 1,455
basically, the wheel will be blasted down to it's base metal and totally refurbed, this will remove all "nastiness" blemishes, corrosion etc.... I took mine to fat wheels in kent, who did an excellent job restoring mine.
VRVIRGIN 0
Is the the price you mentioned earlier just for powder coating, or for powder coating and repolishing? Would imagine the former TBH, but just to be sure. Cheers Pete for your help.
binliner 0
You're getting confused... Powder coating is like a paint finish and will cost about
VRVIRGIN 0
Was hoping for some of your input Justin. I believe they are the standard original polished finish, kinda like the cloudy mirror finish that comes from the factory. Since i'm having to go and get them refurbished thought i'd might as well have them completely repolished. Cheers for the info guys.
